Cobalt No. 13

Cobalt No. 13 is a one-of-a-kind ceramic vessel shaped by hand using my soft clay body, allowing the form to feel fluid, balanced, and beautifully resolved.

The silhouette is open and harmonious, with equal proportions that give the piece a sense of calm stability. The form feels generous and settled, holding space with ease rather than tension.

Carved using wider, more open marks, the surface has a gentle rhythm that feels expansive and natural. These broader carvings soften the structure of the piece, creating a sense of movement that is slow, grounded, and deeply satisfying.

Finished in a deep matte cobalt blue, the surface carries depth rather than shine. Light moves smoothly across the wider carved lines, revealing softness and variation while maintaining the quiet strength of the form.
