Self-made. Unapologetic.

I’m Bianca Pintan: ceramic artist, full-time rule-breaker and, it turns out, a natural-born teacher. I didn’t see that last one coming. Once you see what you’re actually good at, there’s no putting it back in the box.

I started on the wheel. Then I put it down, and everything I’m known for, I taught myself: shaping with my hands and a rolling pin, carving, and drowning everything in bold matte colour from a recipe I spent years developing. I work from my home studio in Lennox Head, Australia, and I shoot it all in a way that’s entirely mine.

My pieces live in private collections around the world. I’ve been commissioned by Cartier since 2022, creating pieces for their VIP rooms in Australia and Bangkok, and by W Hotels. I’ve exhibited at Salone del Mobile in Milan and in Paris, and I’m represented by Studio Gallery in Australia and Galerie Philia. Proof that breaking the rules doesn’t mean you don’t get invited to the table. You get invited, and you still do it your way.

Teaching is the part I didn’t plan for and now can’t stop. More than 2,000 students in over sixty countries have learned my methods, online and in person. I’m building a community of people who are done waiting for permission to create, and I travel to teach whenever I can. No gatekeeping, no precious mystique. Just real technique and the push to trust your own hands.

I’m not the artist who made it and retired into mystery. I’m independent, I’m thriving, and I’m just getting started.
