Cobalt No. 12

Cobalt No. 12 is a one-of-a-kind ceramic vessel shaped by hand using my soft clay body, allowing the form to feel expansive, fluid, and deeply resolved.

This piece stands as the central work of the collection — confident and sculptural, with a strong sense of presence. The surface is richly carved, creating layers of texture that give the form depth and movement while remaining cohesive and calm.

The lip is generously undulated, introducing rhythm and softness at the top of the vessel. These gentle variations bring life to the silhouette, balancing the weight of the form with elegance and flow.

Finished in a deep matte cobalt blue, the surface carries depth rather than shine. Light settles into the carved texture, revealing complexity and shadow that shift throughout the day, allowing the piece to continuously reveal new detail.
