Cobalt No. 07

Cobalt No. 07 is a one-of-a-kind ceramic vessel shaped by hand using my soft clay body, allowing the form to feel fluid, balanced, and resolved.

The silhouette is simple and refined, with a gentle undulation at the top that softens the form and gives it a quiet sense of movement. The shape feels calm and intentional, allowing the surface to take focus.

Carved using a finer, more pointed tool, the surface interacts with light in a distinct way. Shadows settle deeper into the lines, creating subtle contrast and giving the piece a natural texture that feels both organic and contemporary.

Finished in a deep matte cobalt blue, the surface carries depth rather than shine. Light moves across it softly, shifting with the carved marks and revealing the quiet complexity within the simplicity of the form.
