Becoming No. 06 is a one-of-a-kind ceramic vessel shaped by hand, the smallest piece within the collection yet rich in surface detail.

The familiar silhouette is held in a more compact form, giving the piece an intimate presence. Rather than relying on scale, its character comes from the depth of the firing and the movement of layered glazes across the clay.

Multiple colours emerge across the surface — blues, reds, yellow, browns and deeper burgundy tones — settling and merging as the kiln transforms the materials. Small golden crystalline areas appear within the glaze, creating moments of light, while matte passages soften the overall surface. The piece invites close viewing, revealing more variation the longer it is observed.

Becoming No. 06 belongs to the Becoming collection — a small body of work exploring material, variation, and the quiet unpredictability of the firing. Each piece exists only once and cannot be repeated.
